19 distributors from 10 countries had come to China, to attend the BioHermes Global Distributor Meeting of 2019, which was held on 22th and 23th, March. The meeting and serial events took place in the two cities of Guangzhou and Nanchang.
As recorded, so far, the handheld HbA1c analyzer has met with great success in the global market and more than 50,000 units have been placed in more than 60 countries and has benefited tens of thousands of people worldwide. At the very start of the meeting, BioHermes International Sales & Marketing team had acknowledged all the persistent efforts from the valuable overseas distributors, without who, all these achievements cannot be accomplished. In the year of 2019, BioHermes will focus on the promotion of our newly launched benchtop glycohemoglobin analyzer, A1cChek Pro., to extend our application scenarios to laboratories and hospitals in larger scale. Therefore, a most comprehensive exposition of A1cChek Pro had also been presented to the distributors, including the analyzer’s distinct features as well as the powerful cloud service.
The meeting is also a rare opportunity for distributors different countries to conduct sales and marketing exchanges. Several distributors with great success had been invited to give presentation about their successful promotion experiences in their own markets, which was considered really beneficial to other distributors for their future work and a further understanding of HbA1c testing situations globally.
Also several satellite academic forums organized by BioHermes were held during the well-known IVD event of CACLP EXPO in Nanchang. Renowned diabetologist from authoritative hospital was invited to give a insight presentation of diabetes and HbA1c testing to our distributors.
The serial events of the 2019 distributors meeting were ended with an acknowledgment banquet, with the theme “2019, New Journey for BioHermes, New Start for Our Partnership”. Both domestic and overseas distributors were gathered together joyfully, as well as the senior management team of BioHermes, to enjoy this memorable moment once a year and recognize the consensus achieved during the past days.
Ovulation is the release of an egg from the ovary. The egg then passes into the fallopian tube where it is ready to be fertilized. Immediately prior to ovulation, the body produces a large amount of luteinizing hormone (LH) which triggers the release of a ripened egg from the ovary. The LH Ovulation Rapid Test detects the LH surge in urine, signaling that ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24-36 hours.
The COT Rapid Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the detection of Cotinine in human urine/saliva. This test will detect other related compounds, please refer to the Analytical Specificity table in this package insert.
Cotinine is the first-stage metabolite of nicotine, a toxic alkaloid that produces stimulation of the autonomic ganglia and central nervous system when in humans. Nicotine is a drug to which virtually every member of a tobacco-smoking society is exposed whether through direct contact or second-hand inhalation. In addition to tobacco, nicotine is also commercially available as the active ingredient in smoking replacement therapies such as nicotine gum, transdermal patches and nasal sprays. In a 24-hour urine, approximately 5% of a nicotine dose is excreted as unchanged drug with 10% as cotinine and 35% as hydroxycotinine; the concentrations of other metabolites are believed to account for less than 5%.1 While cotinine is thought to be an inactive metabolite, it’s elimination profile is more stable than that of nicotine which is largely urine pH dependent. As a result, cotinine is considered a good biological marker for determining nicotine use. The plasma half-life of nicotine is approximately 60 minutes following inhalation or parenteral administration.2 Nicotine and cotinine are rapidly eliminated by the kidney; the window of detection for cotinine in urine at a cutoff level of 500 ng/mL is expected to be up to 2-3 days after nicotine use.
